Meet at the boarding point outside Radisson metro station at 1:00 pm (by metro, bus, taxi, or other means of transport). Your guide-driver will be there to welcome you aboard the Bonjour Nature minibus for a comfortable ride.
Once aboard, relax as your guide shares insights into the region’s culture and history.
To stretch your legs and explore a local enterprise, the adventure continues with a visit to Bonsaï Gros-Bec, a Bonsai interpretation center, showcasing the art of potted trees. This technique, originating from China, celebrates the life force that thrives in these trees growing under challenging conditions. Legend has it that these small trees were carefully brought home so that the invigorating energy they carry could spread throughout the house (Cyrille Javary). Robert Smith, owner and instructor, awaits you for an interpretive tour.
On the road again around 3:15 PM, we’ll head to Chalets Lanaudière for two magical nights in an authentic cabin, yurt, or chalet! There, a variety of activities await both young and old, including canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, hiking, ropes courses, and various sports.
For meals in the yurt, cabin, or chalet, you’ll find a two-burner stove, a toaster oven, and a BBQ (available from May to October, bring your own charcoal), along with pots, utensils, an Italian coffee maker, and everything you need to prepare simple and comforting dishes during your stay.
After enjoying breakfast, take advantage of the many on-site activities to reconnect with nature and savor the joys of summer. Relax, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the tranquility amidst the lush green surroundings.
After enjoying breakfast, make the most of the facilities throughout the morning. Check-out from accommodation is required by 12:30 PM. Your guide-driver will be on-site around 12:45 PM. Around 1:00 PM, a lunch stop is scheduled at a local restaurant (meal at your own expense).
For the next and final stop, we’ll meet in Nouvelle-Acadie, at Saint-Jacques de Montcalm, for a visit and tasting at Distillerie du Grand Dérangement. This uniquely skewed building houses the distillery and the distiller’s museum. You’ll learn about the gin, vodka, and whisky distillation process, as well as the principles of grain-to-bottle and circular economy practices used on-site, along with the history of distillation in Quebec. The tour concludes with a tasting of their products and a visit to the museum. It’s a must-visit experience in the heart of Nouvelle-Acadie.
Afterward, we’ll head back to Montreal following our stay in this beautiful Lanaudière region. Return to Montreal is expected between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
