Nature Alternative — Day Hike (Mont-Sourire + Forêt Ouareau)

This one-day excursion offers an experience similar to the Mont-Tremblant National Park tour in terms of scenery, viewpoints, and accessible walking, with the added bonus of a foodie/cultural stop in the village of Saint-Donat.

The Pimbina sector of Mont-Tremblant National Park closes as of October 15 for the low season—but the adventure continues! We’re offering a 100% nature alternative, perfect for international visitors seeking vistas, well-marked trails, and a welcoming village: a climb up Mont-Sourire in Saint-Donat, free time for lunch in the village, then an afternoon hike in Forêt Ouareau Regional Park – Massif sector (Pink Loop and Belvedere de la Croix).

Nature Alternative — Day Hike (Mont-Sourire + Forêt Ouareau)

Departure from Montréal near Radisson metro station at 8:00 a.m.

    Morning: Mont-Sourire (Saint-Donat)
A short forest ascent leading to beautiful viewpoints over the region.

Lunch on your own in Saint-Donat
Picnic (not included) at Parc des Pionniers, try local restaurants, or browse gourmet shops (free time).

Afternoon: Forêt Ouareau – Massif sector
Hike the Rose Loop and Belvedere of the Cross for sweeping views of the massif and surrounding lakes.

    Return to Montréal between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Note: The order of activities may be adjusted based on conditions and crowd levels to optimize your experience.

    Good to know

Offered as a replacement for the Mont-Tremblant (Pimbina sector) day during the fall low season.

Hikes can be adapted based on conditions (weather, trail status) and participant pace.

Fall landscapes are stunning, but weather changes quickly—bring warm layers and a rain shell.
