Experience winter on the trails of the Parc régional des Sept-Chutes. The many belvederes will make you discover the incredible luminosity that the cold season brings.

The trail along the tumultuous Rivière noire invites you to begin your hike. As you walk through it, you can admire the “Bride’s Veil” fall from a height of 60 meters (200 feet). Then continue on the trail that will take you to le petit lac Guy. From there, explore Mont Brassard and Mont Barrière.

The Mount Brassard trail will offer you spectacular views of the Rivière noire valley, Lac Rémi and the high hills of Saint-Zénon. It will take you to the top of a rocky peak overlooking Route 131 and the cliff of Lac Rémi. You will be approximately 365 meters (1,200 feet) from road level and 590 meters (1,935 feet) from sea level! During your hike, you will also see a pine forest with red pines and a forest of black spruces, called “Pessière noire”.

The Mont Barrière trail will take you through different ecosystems, including a maple grove. Once you reach the top, you will contemplate the valley of the Rivière noire.

The last part of the trail will take you around the magnificent Lac Rémi and bring you to the base of its impressive cliff, which is 150 meters (500 feet) high.

The Lac Jérôme loop, with its 14 km for seasoned hikers, will also amaze you.
