Head to Saint-Calixte for a unique glamping experience. You’ll stay in a fully equipped yurt (electricity, propane gas fireplace, composting toilet, drinking water, refrigerator, microwave) in the heart of the forest at Ma Yourte au coeur des Collines.
Take advantage of the trails and the surrounding nature. Next, make your way to Aventures Liguoriennes in Saint-Liguori. Get the chance to drive your own dog team with the “La Grande Virée” excursion, making your way through beautiful trails for nearly 1.5 to 2 hours ride (training on driving techniques included).
Back at the yurt, you’ll enjoy a BBQ dinner served directly in your tent (included) and enjoy a relaxing evening in the silence of the forest.
**On Saturdays, the dog sledding activity “La Grande Virée” is replaced by “L’escapade,” which lasts a total of 2 hours. The price is adjusted accordingly.
**In the fall, the dog sledding activity is done in a Cani-kart. Comfortably seated in a kart and driven by a guide, you can fully enjoy the beauty of the landscapes while admiring the power of the dogs: thrilling sensations guaranteed! You will traverse farmland and forests and see grazing herds of cows. The price is adjusted accordingly.
On this last day, you’ll head to Rawdon for an informative tour of Terre des Bisons. Learn about big game farming at the interpretation centre and have fun observing bison and wapiti as you walk or snowshoe along the trails. Before heading back home, be sure to stop at Fromagerie Roy to stock up on local products.
