What is the St-Côme en Glace Festival?

It is a tradition of talents and passions and the work of more than 200 artisans. It is the hard work of several volunteers who, year after year, come to sculpt blocks of ice to create magnificent masterpieces. People come from all over to admire the magnificent sculptures that stand all along Main Street.

The St-Côme en Glace Festival is one of a kind. This 42st edition is therefore an event not to be missed!

To complete this day and make the most of the joys of winter, it is possible to snowshoe on the trails of the municipality, there are restaurants nearby, free shows and entertainment for all.

    Saturday February 3, 2024

    Departure near Radisson metro station at 1:00 p.m. Arrive in Saint-Côme around 2:30 p.m. and begin the festivities by strolling along the lively Main Street to enjoy the spectacle of the numerous ice sculptures and celebrate. Music fan? at 3:30 p.m. the show by a big name of Quebec music scene begins until 5:00 p.m. For dinner, go to one of the restaurants or the microbrewery for a good meal and refreshments or enjoy your lunch at the Harmony park. In the evening, the festivities continue with the lively fire and ice evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. including fireworks. A unique winter event not to be missed! Then take the minibus with a light heart and a head full of memories for the return to Montreal at 10:30 p.m.

    *Bring warm clothing suitable for the temperature and your reusable water bottle

    Departure near the Radisson metro station at 8:30 a.m. Arrive in Saint-Côme around 10:00 a.m. and start the day with a beautiful hike in snowshoes, boots or crampons on the municipal trails from the Marion departure point on Rue Principale, passing by the unmissable Halte à Gérard on the trail. More than 11 km of trails are accessible within the village radius. You don’t have snowshoes? No problem, rent it at Origine Atelier boutique just a few feet away from the trail. Rental not included ($). Do you prefer more of a challenge? The free fatbike introductory activity takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. After a beautiful walk in nature, treat yourself to a hot dog on the grill at the Gérard stopover as part of the festivities, enjoy your lunch at the Harmony Park or even go to one of the restaurants or at the microbrewery for a good meal and refreshments. In the afternoon, stroll along the lively Main Street to enjoy the spectacle of the numerous ice sculptures and celebrate. Music fan? Meet at the Parc de l’Harmonie from 1:30 p.m. for a traditional music show that will make you clap your hands and feet, you won’t be cold! Then take the minibus back to Montreal at 4:30 p.m. after a beautiful, busy day in Saint-Côme.
