Meet at the boarding point at the Radisson metro station exit at 1:00 p.m. (by metro, bus, taxi or other means of transport). Your guide-driver will be waiting for you to welcome you aboard the Bonjour Nature vehicle for a ride in a comfortable minibus.
Once on board, let yourself be transported as your guide shares with you the culture and history of the region.
To stretch your legs and discover a local business, the adventure continues with a visit to Bonsaï Gros-Bec, an interpretation center for Bonsai, or the art of potted trees. This technique of Chinese origin celebrates the vital breath that ran through these trees growing in difficult conditions. The story goes that these small trees were carefully brought home so that the vitalizing energy, which they carry, could spread throughout the house (Cyrille Javary). Robert Smith, owner and instructor, awaits you there for an interpretive visit.
When you get back on the road around 3:15 p.m., you will notice a change in the landscapes and topography and then you will arrive at the site for your stay at the Auberge du lac Taureau in Saint-Michel-des-Saints. Beach, swimming pools, spas, hiking, nature observation, fishing, lively activities and more await you for the next two days.
After taking possession of your quarters for the stay around 5 p.m., discover the surroundings during a walk around the site then, for dinner, enjoy a meal at the inn’s renowned restaurant, the Cerf Rouge (not included in the regular stay but included in the optional meal plan).
After enjoying your breakfast (included), take advantage of the many activities available at the Auberge: heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whirlpool baths, saunas, hiking, swimming, beach, billiards, table soccer, board games or, simply, reading your favorite book in a relaxing setting! The hostel’s entertainment team also organizes many animated activities for all tastes, don’t hesitate to register at reception!
It is also possible to take part in activities such as biking, fishing and quad (not included) by reserving these activities directly through the inn following the reservation of your stay.
At dinner, the Auberge’s restaurant le Cerf Rouge welcome you for a excellent meal (not included in the stay but included in the optional full meal plan).
After enjoying your breakfast (included), make the most of the facilities during the morning then vacate your room, your driver guide will be on site around 11:30 a.m. Around 1 p.m., a meal stop is planned at a local restaurant (meal at your own expense).
For the next and final stop, we are in Nouvelle Acadie, in Saint-Jacques de Montcalm, for a visit and tasting at the Distillerie du Grand Dérangement. This strange, crooked building houses the distillery and the distiller’s economuseum. You will learn the process of distilling gin, vodka and whiskey, the principles of grain to bottle and the circular economy used on site as well as the history of distillation in Quebec. The visit ends with a product tasting and a visit to the economuseum. An unmissable discovery in the cradle of New Acadia.
Then climb aboard one last time in Montreal’s direction after a stay in the beautiful region of Lanaudière. Return to Montreal between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
**Optional complete meal plan (Two (2) 3-course dinner at the Auberge le Cerf Rouge restaurant (add the option at booking)
