Whether it’s for meditation or sports or to help you prepare for a pilgrimage to Compostela, Afghan walking is a great tool to improve your breathing, endurance and performance. Come develop your skills in a friendly atmosphere and experience the benefits this recognized technique has on both our physical and mental health—something we all need in 2022!

This unique Bonjour Nature retreat takes place in the heart of nature with our specialist Patrick Auger, instructor at Marche Afghane Québec and distinguished hiker, certified guide and Field Leader with the Outdoor Council of Canada and Rando Québec. You’ll also get to attend his talk on Pilgrimage to the End of the Word – Compostela (in French).

    Friday, October 14,2022

    Upon arriving in Sainte-Béatrix, you’re invited to visit the magnificent gardens at Bonsaï Gros-Bec, located in Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, close to Rawdon. You’ll see a large collection of bonsais (tropical, semi-rustic, etc.) and enjoy a truly relaxing experience as you make your way through a small forest, the three wisdoms pavilion and a rocky hillside dotted with bonsais. You’ll also learn all about the art of bonsais with our interpretive signs, demos, courses and more.

    In the afternoon, make your way to Have Familial in Sainte-Béatrix to begin your Afghan walking training.

    Arrive at Havre Familial at 4 p.m.

    • After dinner, participants are invited to a conference about the Appalachian Trail with Patrick Auger: 5 months from Georgia to Maine
